Equasis had a very productive Editorial Board Meeting and AIS Workshop in Paris on 30/09/19. The main issues on the Board s Agenda included the work programme for 2019/2020, automatic downloading of data and the 20th Anniversary of Equasis in 2020. Equasis also ran a workshop in the afternoon on the potential incorporation of AIS data in the website. Thanks to the French Administration and the Equasis Technical Unit for hosting the events and to all those who attended and contributed.
Data Protection: Equasis is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that is provided to Equasis, and provides a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. Equasis has always had a robust and effective data protection program in place which complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and abides by data protection principles. Equasis does not hold personal information related to shipping and the only personal information that is held by the database is information pertaining to the set-up of an account which is only used to allow subsequent secure access to the Equasis website. These are not publically available and this information is not collated or processed in any way.
Database Update: the Equasis database now includes all the Abuja MoU Inspection data.
